WE PROVIDE
INTEREST-FREE LOANS

We provide interest-free loans to those who cannot obtain traditional financing. Our loans are available to those experiencing financial hardship due to unexpected expenses, emergencies, or other financial situations.

SPECIFIC NEEDS
(FOR SPECIFIC BILLS)

Loans up to $1500, max 12-mo payback period. This loan can be used for any specific need, e.g., an upcoming event or other anticipated expense, or an unexpected expense, provided there’s a bill.

MO SCHOLARS
TAX CREDIT

Loans up to $3500, max 12-mo payback period or receipt of state refund. This loan allows a borrower to participate in the Missouri private-school assistance program which provides a dollar-for dollar tax credit for up to 50% of borrower's MO State income tax liability.

HEALTH EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE LOAN [HEAL]

Loans up to $2500, max 12-mo payback period. This loan can be used for any medical, dental, or other health-related need, e.g., prescriptions, office visits, second opinions, medical or dental procedures, surgeries, and the like.

CREDIT CARD
PAYOFF PLAN

Loans up to $5000, max 24-mo payback period. This loan allows a borrower to payoff existing credit card debt, enabling the borrower to put an end to the punitive monthly interest charges accruing on existing credit card debt.

OUR MISSION

WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

The St Louis Jewish Loan Society is a Missouri nonprofit corporation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We provide interest-free loans to qualified applicants who cannot obtain traditional financing. We believe that everyone deserves access to financial stability and the opportunity to build a better future for themselves and their families.

We are community-funded gamach serving the Greater St Louis kehilla. We are presently not able to provide loans to all qualified applicants, nor are we generally able to accommodate loan requests that fall outside of our specific Loan Program parameters, such as extending the maximum payback period or increasing the maximum loan amount. We aim to change these parameters as our available working capital increases.

That being said, we are here to help. If your particular financial needs fall outside of one of our Loan Programs, please let us know your specific financial goals so we can determine if, and to what extent, we are able to assist you. We are a community-based chesed organization and endeavor to be flexible. All information you share with us will be confidential and treated with respect.
